The electric fusion welding of the electric fusion welding machine, that is, the hot fusion connection of the polyethylene pipe system, includes hot fusion butt joint and hot fusion socket connection.

The hot-melt socket connection is suitable for pipes and fittings with a relatively small diameter, because the pipes and pipes with small diameters have thinner walls and smaller cross-sections, and it is not easy to ensure quality by using butt joints. Hot-melt butt joints are suitable for pipe fittings with relatively large diameters. Compared with socket connections, they use less materials and are easier to manufacture. Because the oxidation surface layer is cut off before welding, the welding pressure can be controlled and the quality is easier to guarantee. From the perspective of development trends, the use of thermal fusion is the mainstream.

 

Tests have proved that pipe fittings made of different grades of special polyethylene pipe materials can be connected by hot melt. However, because the domestically produced polyethylene pipe fittings often use materials that are not fully compliant with the standard pipe special materials, it is recommended to go through tests and inspections before using different brands and batches of polyethylene pipe fittings for hot melt connection.
